About Us
The ReStore
concept provides quality used and surplus building materials at
below-retail prices to help low-income families improve their
homes. All items for sale have been donated, and proceeds will
be used to enable Habitat for Humanity to help build decent,
safe and affordable housing.
Currently, there
are more than 50 ReStore outlets across the country, including
thirty seven in Michigan -- Benton Harbor, Detroit, Grand Rapids,
Lansing, Port Huron and Saginaw.
Genesee County
Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1990. It is one of 2,200
affiliates of Habitat for Humanity International. The mission of
Habitat for Humanity is to build and rehabilitate houses with
the help of partner families, using volunteer labor and
tax-deductible donations of money and materials. The homes are
sold to partner families at no profit and financed with
affordable, no-interest loans.
